Hello, my name is Matthew Reitz, I'm a father of one amazing daughter and husband to a wife that has a heart big enough for all of life’s flaws. Growing up, I would always be building or tinkering in my dads basement woodshop, learning the skill of a woodworker from an accomplished builder himself, making entire steamer chests from raw materials. I have always had a knack for designing , building and putting my own spin on things, and am hoping to bestow that skill to my little girl.

She helps with small projects in our little basement workshop, bonding over the experience of making something from nothing with our own hands, even the small part fascinates her and draws her in. My daughter and I have A.D.D., hence Plus 1, which itself isn't really anything as I've grown up and adapted to it and woodworking was one way of adaptation, one that I hope my daughter can use to slow her mind down and allow the speed of the world to melt away. For me the sound of the saws whir and the smell of sawdust in the air is fun and freeing; creating something from simple, raw, beautiful materials.

It's my hope to be able to share that feeling with you, your family and friends with simple, useful, fun and beautiful creations.
